STOREYS HOUSING AND COMMUNITY SERVICES

Storeys is a mixed-use development that includes community services and 129 community-housing units. The project is a joint venture partnership of five non-profit organizations in response to a call by the City of Richmond for proposals to build and operate supportive residences.

The collaborative commitment that also included all three levels of government made the project a reality. Storeys has become a focal point in the community by providing housing, a space for residents to access immigrant settlement services, employment skills, healthy and affordable meals, social activity, and meaningful connections.

The resulting project is innovative in developing housing in association with a social service hub, including a cafe with employment opportunities.
