THE WATERBURY – DARTMOUTH

The Waterbury is a 41-unit development within a walking distance to transit and downtown amenities in Dartmouth.
The 4-storey project proposal was evaluated under existing development agreement allowing for integration of medium density housing within low density residential area of Southdale neighbourhood. The development will strengthen the neighbourhood, bringing more people to live downtown and at the same time provide a variety of housing options.
Retention of trees surrounding the site boundary creates a mature vegetative buffer to existing single family buildings and minimizes potential impact on the neighbourhood character. The irregularly shaped lot and moderately steep slope at the rear of the site required an innovative design. Private amenity space with exercise and recreational rooms is geared towards the needs of families with children.
Currently under construction,  when completed the development will complement and strengthen the surrounding neighbourhood.
