VISTA 29

Vista 29 is a 4-storey apartment building with 42 units and 8 townhomes located in Upper Lonsdale area of North Vancouver.
The buildings are oriented in a north-south direction to emphasize views and maintain existing view corridors. Walkways through the courtyard provide connections to landscaped outdoor areas and adjacent streets.
Bay windows and roofs create a sophisticated “lantern” appearance. The aesethic is a modern approach to a cottage style, with the use of traditional larger heavy-looking building materials and recessed windows. Materials such as stone, wood, shingles and natural colour tones are used as finishes.
A RainCatcher, designed as functional art, is located along the main pathway in the courtyard. This sculptural form celebrates the west coast rain forest, catches rain water and funnels it down a stylized creek bed to a holding tank at the southern end of the property making it an integral part of the storm water strategy for the site.
