KIN COLLECTION TOWNHOMES

The development is a medium-density ground-oriented townhouse community with urban character and ample green space that establishes a tone of sustainable growth in the community. Located in Burnaby Royal Oak, the development proposes 121 units in the form of stacked townhomes and 3-storey ground-oriented townhouses over an underground parking.

The design envisions a range of 1 to 3 bedroom units with roof decks, providing an array of family-oriented housing options. The development will offer indoor and outdoor amenities including landscaped courtyards, community garden, and a playground connected to green public spaces.

Planning includes the extension of the E-W Greenway that connects to the south and McPherson Park to the west and to the BC Parkways Urban Trail along the skytrain Expo Line to the east. 10-meter greenway dedication will enable the linkage of these public green spaces and take advantage of a new anticipated public park, Buller Beresford Park, on City-owned property directly north to the subject site.

The proposed development will create a transition between existing single-family homes to the south, contribute to road infrastructure improvements, and participate substantially in the creation of public green spaces and green pedestrian and cycle pathways.
