CREST

Crest development consists of a mix of two-level townhomes and single-level apartments distributed across two 7-storey buildings over two levels of underground parking. The site is located at the prominent corner of E8th and E11th Street, which intersect at Lonsdale Avenue in a public park space. One of the most significant attributes of the site is its position along North Vancouver’s Green Necklace one block from Victoria Park. The project proposal included the redesign and renewal of the park at the Lonsdale Avenue corner to form an extension of the Green Necklace, and provide an amenity for both residents and the public.

Crest merges light timber framing with SmartWoodTM technology, cross-laminated timber (CLT) panel construction.The system uses conventional wall studs 2x6s to support the prefabricated four-inch thick CLT floor panels. The wood floor provides also acoustic and sustainability benefits.
