CONNECT AT NATURE’S EDGE

Connect is a 32-unit development at Orwell Street in North Vancouver that establishes a strong street presence with a rhythm of townhomes set in the boulevard landscaping. Minimizing acoustic impact of Trans-Canada Hwy, flood control level restrictions, and retention of mature trees on site had to be considered during the site planning and unit layout design.

The buildings have been positioned around central courtyard intended as a communal space and integrated into the landscape. Unit entries have their own identity with different colour accent panels and substantial angled bay window features. Stone elements are used at the corners, which creates a sense of permanence while grounding the building into the landscape. The combination of these feature elements together with landscaping, allows the buildings to appear less repetitive reflecting the existing neighbourhood.
