ELLE – MIXED USE

ELLE is a 15 storey mixed-use high-rise development in downtown Richmond. In addition to an integrated street-facade of commercial spaces, the project is hosting mix of affordable and market condominium units, with a total of 65 units located over 3,490 SF commercial podium.

The narrow depth of the development site significantly affected the design approach.
Working with the City of Richmond during the development application to facilitate variances, a uniform and simplified design expression was achieved. The project employs several passive design strategies and was designed to be a landmark as the Richmond City Centre develops eastward from No.3 Road.

The design of the tower establishes a strong street presence with the podium landscape extending vertically into the public realm. The building maintains strong horizontal lines typical to Richmond, yet extends upwards through a vertical expression.
Feature corner creates a lively creative expression for the retail and ties the commercial function.
